Treno is a stylish yet casual Italian restaurant and bar offering hand-tossed, artisan pizzas and scratch-made pastas, seasonal cocktails and wines by the glass. Whether you’re enjoying family-style dinners or parties on our patio, Treno delivers an experience that can t be topped.

Reports to:

General Manager/ FOH Manager.

• Warmly and graciously greet all guests upon arrival.
• When possible, open the front door for guests entering and leaving the restaurant.
• When immediate seating is limited, record guest names and number of people in the party.
• Provide guests with estimated waiting times.
• Call out name and number of party when tables become available.
• Seat guests based on guest preferences whenever possible and consider the balancing of customer flow in the service stations.
• Upon seating, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server s name. Inspect the table for proper presentation and completeness.
• Relay messages to servers and bussers as needed.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Maintain a clean and organized hostess station.
• Ensure the front of the restaurant (entrance hallway/doors) are clear of trash, swept and windows are clean.
• Check bathrooms for cleanliness and paper supplies every two hours during the day and every hour from 5:00 pm – close.
• Utilize POS system to ensure accurate sales data and Hot Schedules for scheduling and communication amongst the restaurant team.
• Read all messages from Management via Hot Schedules before each shift and follow important information for the next shift.

• No previous restaurant experience required
• A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to warmly welcome guests
• Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 5 hours)
