We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient Senior Civil-Transportation Engineer to join our client's team in Haddonfield, NJ. This is a critical leadership role responsible for managing and executing complex civil engineering projects focused on roadway, traffic, and stormwater design for state and municipal agencies throughout New Jersey.
The ideal candidate possesses strong project leadership skills and a proven track record of delivering detailed design plans from conception through final documentation.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as a technical leader on various civil engineering projects, specializing in transportation and municipal infrastructure.
- Lead the preparation and review of CD/PD/FD (Concept Design/Preliminary Design/Final Design) plans for local and state agencies.
- Design and implement traffic control staging plans for complex construction projects.
- Develop comprehensive stormwater management and drainage systems designs, ensuring compliance with all local and state regulations.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring timely completion and client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance across project execution.
- Education: Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Civil Engineering is required.
- Experience: A minimum of 12 years of progressive experience in civil/transportation engineering is mandatory.
- Licensure (Mandatory): Must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) License in New Jersey.
- Reciprocity (Preferred): PE licensure reciprocity or the ability to obtain it in Pennsylvania (PA) and New York (NY) is highly desired.
Candidates must be proficient with the following specialized software and design disciplines:
- CAD/Modeling: Civil 3D, Micro Station/Inroads
- Traffic Analysis: AutoTURN, Synchro, HCS (Highway Capacity Software)
- Core Design Focus: Expertise in CD/PD/FD plans, traffic control staging, and comprehensive stormwater systems design.
- Strong project leadership and management abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reports, proposals, and client interaction.
