Job Description

The Environmental Service Aide is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing patient rooms, bathrooms, furniture, and other facility areas, following established policies and procedures to maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation throughout the hospital.

Responsibilities

• Clean and disinfect patient rooms, bathrooms, furniture, and other areas of the facility in a timely manner.
• Deliver linen and remove trash from assigned areas.
• Sweep and mop patient rooms and maintain adequate stock of materials, supplies and chemicals on cleaning cart and in janitor's closet.
• Consistently perform daily floor care procedures.
• Ensure equipment is kept clean and polished; containers, tanks, and buckets are emptied and rinsed at shift end.
• Adhere to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
• Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned according to hospital policies and procedures.

Preferred

• Previous Environmental Service or Housekeeping experience.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Compensation

Starting hourly rate: $17.25 (subject to change based on negotiation, experience, education, location, internal equity, and budget considerations). Additional benefits may include shift differentials, performance incentives, and a comprehensive benefits package covering health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits.
