SUMMARY STATEMENT

The Office Associate – Adjunct Services is a key point of contact for part-time faculty members. This position provides a wide variety of support services for adjunct instructors who teach day and evening courses in traditional, hybrid and online formats.

This is a part-time position for 24 hours per week. The work schedule is Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Some Friday work may be required.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
  • Reports directly to and is responsible to the Fletcher Faculty Development Center Coordinator.
  • Position does not require supervision of other staff.
  • Coordinates most closely with the Fletcher Center coordinator, division office associates, purchasing staff, and other support staff in the completion of responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
  • Duplicate course material needed for adjunct instructors.
  • Greet visitors to the Fletcher Center.
  • Maintain Fletcher Center facility, including supplies, computers, and lockers.
  • Provide guidance to adjunct instructors who seek information about College policies and procedures. Assist adjunct instructors with campus forms, systems and resources.
  • Provide onboarding support to new adjunct faculty, including welcome mailings and parking hangtags.
  • Provide assistance to the Fletcher Center coordinator by completing clerical, organizational and printing projects.
  • Assist Fletcher Center coordinator with event planning.
  • Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Associate degree preferred or the willingness to work towards a degree if hired; clerical and administrative experience in an education setting preferred.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must have excellent skills in computer applications such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and email. Must have good communication skills, be able to communicate with tact, organize and prioritize work requests; complete tasks in a timely manner with minimal supervision, make decisions independently, and attend to details.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT

Normal office environment.
