Warehouse Clerk

Position Description

Ryder is immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Warehouse Clerk in Hagerstown, Maryland. You will work Monday - Friday 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm. The role pays hourly at $22.00 per hour with a $1.00 shift premium for 2nd shift. Pay is weekly.

• Coordinates activities with clerks from other floor areas, the customer and/or other suppliers as needed.
• Uses the WMS system to update area or shift metrics as needed.
• Generates daily, weekly or monthly reports, memos, and summaries (often technical/confidential).
• Performs floor work and additional duties as assigned.
• Performs basic administrative tasks for area or shift; maintains filing systems and documents.
• Gathers from and provides information to floor employees in his/her area of support.
• Coordinates activities/meetings/communication for the specific area or shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned depending on area supported or location specific.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year or more clerical or warehouse experience (preferred).
• One year or more experience operating forklift equipment (preferred).
• One year or more experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) (preferred).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates customer service skills.
• Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
• Flexibility to operate and self-driven to excel in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of multitasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
• Detail oriented with excellent follow-up practices.
