Position: Physician - Hospitalist (OB)

Become a hospital-employed OB Hospitalist at an independent and nationally recognized hospital, Meritus Health. Our hospitalists provide 24/7 in-house coverage. Responsibilities include delivery attendance, unassigned patients, OB triage, patient evaluation and management, surgical assists, fetal monitoring, and ER call coverage. A full-time position involves seven 24-hour shifts in a 4-week period. We offer excellent benefits and a very competitive compensation package.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Medical degree from an accredited school and licensure to practice in the desired state.

Licensure/Certification: Current DEA and CDS Certificate of Registration; licensure in the state of practice. Current BLS required for all providers. ACLS and PALS (if applicable) required. Surgeons must have ACLS and PALS depending on patient population. Trauma surgeons must have ATLS, 16 hours of Trauma CME/year, and attend 75% of morbidity and mortality meetings.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques. Knowledge of pharmacological agents used in treatment. Effective communication skills and professional demeanor.
