Hospitalist Physician Nocturnist

Meritus Health is seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician Nocturnist to provide quality care at Meritus Medical Center.

• Provide general medical care at Meritus Medical Center.
• Offer in-hospital patient care and consultations as needed.
• Participate in non-traditional inpatient services such as admitting and managing patients.
• Assist in the operation of residents and medical students.
• Participate in Medical Staff activities as required.
• Observe bylaws, rules, and regulations of the hospital and medical staff.
• Demonstrate commitment to patient safety; attend education sessions, debriefs, and root cause analyses.

• Participate in Medical Staff activities as requested.
• Observe the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Hospital and the Medical Staff.
• Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety by complying with safety standards and best practices.
• Attend education sessions, debriefs, and root cause analysis as needed to improve outcomes.

• Medical degree from an accredited school and licensed to practice in desired state.
• Residency in the United States.
• Minimum two years of direct work or internship experience.
• Current DEA and CDS Certificate of Registration; state licensure; current BLS required.
• ACLS and PALS as applicable; surgeons require ACLS and PALS depending on patient population.
• Knowledge of medical principles, procedures, pharmacology, and effective communication skills.

• 14 shifts a month (typically 7 on / 7 off)
