Hospitalist Physician Nocturnist
Meritus Health is seeking a dedicated Hospitalist Physician Nocturnist to provide quality care at Meritus Medical Center.
KeyJob Functions:
- Provide general medical care at Meritus Medical Center.
- Offer in-hospital patient care and consultations as needed.
- Participate in non-traditional inpatient services such as admitting and managing patients.
- Assist in the operation of residents and medical students.
- Participate in Medical Staff activities as required.
- Observe bylaws, rules, and regulations of the hospital and medical staff.
- Demonstrate commitment to patient safety; attend education sessions, debriefs, and root cause analyses.
- Participate in Medical Staff activities as requested.
- Observe the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Hospital and the Medical Staff.
- Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety by complying with safety standards and best practices.
- Attend education sessions, debriefs, and root cause analysis as needed to improve outcomes.
- Medical degree from an accredited school and licensed to practice in desired state.
- Residency in the United States.
- Minimum two years of direct work or internship experience.
- Current DEA and CDS Certificate of Registration; state licensure; current BLS required.
- ACLS and PALS as applicable; surgeons require ACLS and PALS depending on patient population.
- Knowledge of medical principles, procedures, pharmacology, and effective communication skills.
- 14 shifts a month (typically 7 on / 7 off)
