The Division of Mathematics and Science is currently accepting applications for additional adjunct instructors for course sections that may be potentially offered in the upcoming academic year.
Courses may be offered during the day, later afternoon/evening, or weekends in a variety of formats (in‑person, hybrid, online).
Applications will be accepted for those who can teach lecture and/or laboratory in the following area(s) or discipline(s):
- Anatomy and Physiology (one and two‑semester sequences and non‑majors Human Biology)
- Biology (majors and non‑majors including survey of disease, biotechnology & society or other related courses)
- Chemistry (intro and majors)
- Earth and Space Science (including Oceanography and Astronomy)
- General Physical Science
- Mathematics (quantitative reasoning, statistical reasoning, applied algebra, pre‑calculus)
- Microbiology
- Nutrition
- General Physics (algebra based)
Instructors will work with the full‑time faculty, program coordinator and/or Division Director to deliver course content and assessments required for outcome learning assessments for credit courses for the Division.
Instructors interested in online teaching opportunities must be located in MD, PA, VA or WV.
Education and Experience
- Applicants must have at minimum a Master's degree in the area or discipline of interest (or a Master's degree in Education/Teaching with at least 12 graduate credits in a specific discipline, i.e. Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics etc.).
- Two years of relevant teaching experience is required.
