Manufacturing Engineer III – Aircraft Modification (Onsite | Hagerstown, MD)

We’re seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to support a special mission aircraft modification program based in Hagerstown, MD
. This is a full-time, W-2 contract role focused on prototype and production-level aircraft builds.

You’ll play a key role in hands‑on aircraft modification and assembly
, collaborating with design, production, and quality teams to develop efficient, high‑quality manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include developing process plans, tooling, fixtures, and detailed work instructions for prototype builds.

• Support and improve aircraft manufacturing and assembly processes
• Develop process plans, tooling, fixtures, and work instructions
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure efficient builds
• Document and maintain process improvements and workflow standards

• 6+ years of manufacturing engineering experience (aircraft or aerospace)
• Hands‑on experience in aircraft modification, assembly, or maintenance
• Proficiency with CATIA (latest version)
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
• Working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
• U.S. Citizenship required (must be able to obtain Secret Clearance)
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field

• A&P or FAA certification
• MRB / Non‑Conformance experience
• CNC or tooling design experience
• NPI or production ramp‑up background
• Location: Onsite – Hagerstown, MD
• Start Date: December 1, 2025
• End Date: July 10, 2026 (7‑month contract, possible extension)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hrs/week
• Pay Rate: $51.54/hr (W‑2 hourly)
