Employment type:

Full-time. Compensation range: $100,000 to $180,000. EEO statement available below.

• Apply machine learning, data science, advanced analytical algorithms, programming (experience in at least one high-level language such as Python), statistical analysis (e.g., variability, sampling error, inference, hypothesis testing, EDA, linear models), data management (cleaning and transformation), data mining, data modeling and assessment, artificial intelligence, and/or software engineering. Experience in multiple areas is strongly preferred.
• Combine (2 or more) of the following domains:
  Foundations (Mathematical, Computational, Statistical);
  Data Processing (data management and curation, description and visualization, workflow and reproducibility);
  Modeling, Inference, and Prediction (data modeling and assessment, domain-specific considerations).
• Devise strategies to extract meaning and value from large datasets; communicate principled conclusions using mathematics, statistics, computer science, and domain knowledge.
• Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative methods for characterizing and assessing large datasets with varied organization and quality, considering related data holdings and constraints.
• Translate practical mission needs and analytic questions into technical requirements and help others draw appropriate conclusions from data analysis.
• Effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences; make informed recommendations on technical solutions while staying aware of evolving data capabilities and limitations.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure analytic work aligns with mission needs and security requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree plus 5 years of relevant experience with related depth.
• Degree fields considered:
  Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Applied Statistics, Machine Learning, Data Science, Operations Research, or Computer Science. Related fields with substantial coursework in advanced mathematics and/or computer science may be considered; college-level algebra alone does not count.
• Note:
  
  A broader range of degrees may be considered if accompanied by a Certificate in Data Science from an accredited institution.
• CLEARANCE: TS/SCI with Polygraph. Other requirements: U.S. Citizenship.
