** Summary
* * The Group Manager Logistics II is is typically responsible for multiple locations for one large customer or multiple customer accounts with approximately $8M to $11M in operating revenue taking into consideration business complexity. It includes the management and improvement of services provided to the customer(s), as well as the development and implementation of customer performance measurements. May assist with business development initiatives and new locations startups.

This position is responsible for leading, guiding, training and directing Logistics Managers (LM), Senior Logistics Managers (SLM), and/or Group Logistics Managers (GLM). This position has profit and loss responsibility for assigned account(s).  All work is subject to review by the DCL and Ryder Corporate Process Owners such as Finance, Human Resources, Safety, etc. Error could result in customer dissatisfaction, loss of inventory, loss of profit, safety or security incident.

* Pay Type:

Exempt / Salary paid Twice Per Month*** ##
** Annual Salary Pay: $120,000-$130,000 per year, based on experience*** ##
** Annual Bonus Potential:
Up to 20% of base salary*** ##
** Experience managing large DC operations*** ##
** Experience leading, coaching, mentoring, and developing leaders and a large workforce is preferred
*** Excellent problem solving skills, use of formal Root Cause Countermeasure Systems preferred
* Excellent oral and written communications skills with demonstrated leadership capabilities
* Strong organization, analytical and computer skills
* Ability to create and maintain professional relationships within all levels of the organization (peers, work groups, customers, supervisors)
* Ability to create and develop an inclusive and engaged work environment across the enterprise
* Effectively guide profit and loss actions using current data sets

* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of warehouse operations/solutions, distribution, transportation and carrier management at a strategic level advanced preferred
* Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) .

* Knowledge of OSHA required; DOT and Hazmat knowledge based on the account(s) advanced required
* Knowledge of Lean principles, systems and tools advanced required
* Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain or an additional two (2) years of relevant work experience required
* Master's degree preferred
* Six (6) years or more relevant experience in supply chain, logistics, warehouse or industry related field. required
* Five (5) years or more managing, leading and developing direct reports required
* Five (5) years or more managing large multi-level teams preferred
* Four (4) years or more Profit & Loss responsibility preferred
* Four (4) years or more demonstrated experience developing and implementing complete logistics solutions and project management skills required
* Three (3) years or more prior experience in leading teams in a LEAN work environment preferred
* Two (2) years or more customer interaction required
* Two (2) years or more managing customer KPIs required
* Two (2) years or more experience providing customer and senior level management presentations preferred
* Some sales experience preferred
* Some multi-client experience preferred
* Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of warehouse operations/solutions, distribution, transportation and carrier management at a strategic level. advanced preferred
