Outbound Assistant Manager; and 2b Shift; Hagerstown , Maryland

The Outbound Assistant Manager assists the Outbound Manager in overseeing the shipping department of the facility within their respective shift, including picking, packing, and indirect positions, focusing on quality, accuracy, and providing excellent customer experience. The Outbound Assistant Manager works with the Outbound Manager to collaborate with leadership on other shifts/departments to ensure compliance with all protocol and SOP’s, problem solving, and meet operational directives.

** 2B Shift will officially begin on November 1, 2026.
** Candidates who are hired and onboarded may need to rotate through shifts during the training and transition period:
* ** Training:
** Shift 1C - Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, for a minimum of 2 weeks.
* ** Interim

Schedule:

** Shift 2A - Sunday to Wednesday, 7:00 PM–5:30 AM, until the 2B Shift begins.
* ** Beginning November 1, 2026:
** Associates assigned to 2B will transition to the
** 2B Shift
** schedule.
* ** Tentatively Beginning December 1, 2026**:
The 2A Shift will transition to Sunday through Tuesday, 6:00 PM-6:30 AM, and the hourly wage will be adjusted to the corresponding shift rate.

** Operational
* ** Assists with the management of the day-to-day operations within the Outbound department, including Picking, Consolidation, Packing, QA, and other indirect roles. Ensure that the team is consistently focused on achieving a high degree of quality, efficiency, and accuracy to satisfy our customer base.
* Train, coach, develop, and hold accountable up to X employees to achieve operational metrics and satisfy the needs of the distribution center.
* Works closely with the Outbound Manager to monitor daily, weekly, and monthly metrics for the receiving department; identify and resolve operating issues as needed.
* Provide clear and frequent communication to all teams regarding company policies and procedures.
* In collaboration with the Outbound Manager, lead weekly and monthly meetings to share information including metrics review, areas of improvement, employee relations issues, and provide updates on any initiatives and related projects.
* Assists in analyzing opportunities for improvement including productivity growth, cost reduction, damage mitigation, and increased process efficiency.

* ** Ensure the timely completion of all employee performance reviews and provide frequent and constructive feedback to all team members in accordance with the Great Employees Only philosophy.
* Interact with employees regularly to promote a high level of engagement and ensure all safety regulations are followed.
