Mattress Builder

Works in a two-person team. Pads and covers innerspring assemblies to form mattresses. Spreads padding over sides of innerspring and attaches layers of insulating materials by using a hot glue gun. Glues pillowtop panels to inner panels.

• 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• 18 years of age with High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time.

  Physical Requirements:
• Fast-paced plant operations environment.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, including but not limited to safety rules, procedures manual and policy manual.

• Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with Department Supervisor, Lead, Coworkers and other personnel.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a practical, methodical way while working with a sense of urgency.
• Able to read and follow a written set of procedures.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand for extended periods, to sit and talk or hear.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
• Safety glasses are required PPE.
