Strategic Buyer – Fives Landis Corp

Fives Landis Corp is actively seeking a Strategic Buyer to join its team in Hagerstown, Maryland. With a heritage of over 200 years in designing and supplying precision machines across industries such as automotive, aerospace, defense, rail, shipbuilding, energy and space, the company is a high precision machines division operating worldwide with approximately 1,800 employees in about 20 locations across Asia, Europe and North America.

• Evaluate production requirements and develop sourcing solutions tailored to customer applications.
• Procure a wide range of goods and services, including machined, fabricated, made‑to‑spec components, functional systems and assemblies.
• Source, qualify and negotiate with suppliers to secure best value while achieving annual cost reduction and quality goals.
• Develop and manage commodity strategies, driving improvements in cost, quality, delivery and supplier performance.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and Project Management to ensure technical requirements and production needs are met.

• At least 1 year of demonstrated experience in leading negotiations, commodity management or strategic sourcing.
• Strong knowledge of raw materials, technical specifications and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency with common commercial terms, contract documents and negotiation tactics.
• Self‑starter who thrives in a collaborative, innovative work environment.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Salary range: $70,000 – $85,000 (offered commensurate with experience).
