DaVita is hiring a Float Dialysis Nurse (RN) to give life based out of our Villa of Great Northern Dialysis in Fairview Park, OH. This position will Float to clinics such as:
Amherst, Center Ridge, Rockside, and Hilliard Dialysis all within the Cleveland, Ohio region!

  • At least 1 year of clinical experience as a RN

  • Schedule:
    Hours will vary depending on clinic and can start as early as 3:00 or 4:00 am - Typically 12 hour shifts

  • Shift differential for travel, paid mileage

  • Compensation increases as you complete different levels of training and take on more responsibility!

  • We are looking for someone that works well in a team, very adaptable, willing to travel/float within the region, has great leadership skills, time management, able to take and give redirection if/when needed, not afraid to speak up and communicate, critical thinker.

ICHD Registered Nurse Day to Day
  • 30%: Supervises and performs direct patient care including but not limited to taking and monitoring vital signs, initiation and termination of dialysis, documentation, physical assessment of patients and patient treatments, taking and transcription of physician’s orders, drawing and documentation of ordered laboratory work

  • 20%: Provides dialysis therapy, including but not limited to formulating dialysis plan per physician orders, weight and rate of ultrafiltration, verifying safety measures are in place and complied with, administering medications or other appropriate treatments, discontinuing dialysis according to established procedure, documenting all activity appropriately

  • 20%: Analyzes patient assessments, laboratory data and, when concerns are noted, brings issues to the attention of the physician. Notes signs of trauma, patients’ general physical and mental condition, reviews dialysis orders, documents observations in patient medical records. Communicates all emergencies, patient life-threatening complications and related incidents to supervisor, Medical Director, Regional Operations Director, Facility or Group Facility Administrator

  • 15%: Assesses patient and family learning readiness and provides appropriate information on renal disease, prescribed dialysis treatment, and medical regimen and its impact on the patient’s state of health and well-being. Participates in the development and implementation of the patient’s short- and long-term plan of care and monthly progress note

Requirements
  • Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from accredited school of nursing required;
    Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N); three-year diploma from accredited diploma program may be substituted for nursing degree

  • At least 1 year of clinical experience working as a nurse

  • You might also have experience in the following that can be helpful but not required

  • Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) experience

  • Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN)
