Job DescriptionSummary/Objective:
Assist in the day to day job operations of our customer’s project in a safe, productive, orderly and profitable manner.
- Properly load material onto vehicles and onto jobsite as requested.
- Tear off roofing materials and transport debris.
- Install roofing insulation and mechanically attach to roof deck.
- Properly tie down and secure material on roof.
- Install wood blocking.
- Construct wooden curb and expansion joint.
- Properly prepare surface (power washing).
- Install primers, fabrics, base and top coatings.
- Identify proper mil thickness of coating material.
- Set rolls in a hot applied system.
- Mop hot asphalt.
- Hand weld and install T-patches.
- Install flashing to all curbs and walls.
- Install flash pitch pockets and penetrations.
- Install drain flashing on single ply roofs.
- Install drain leads on BUR roofs.
- Install adhesives to all membrane types.
- Spray cold adhesives and operate cold adhesive pumps.
- Operate leister machine.
- Install RMA & batten strips on mechanical systems.
- Install insulation crickets.
- Install proper tie in.
- Understand project scope of work.
- Keep production maps up to date.
- Schedule crews truck maintenance.
- Clean roof area and ground.
- Any other duties as assigned.

- Roofer Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Proven roofing or general construction experience.
- Working knowledge of different roofing systems.
- Sound knowledge of business ordinances.
- The ability to lift heavy materials and tools.
- The ability to use powered hand tools.
- 5 years roofing experience
Functions can take place indoors or outdoors, sometimes in high, precarious places with fumes and/or airborne particles. The standard work environment has loud to very loud noise levels associated with various equipment, coworkers, and phone conversations. Often work must be performed in high and/or cramped work spaces and awkward positions. The employee works around hazardous situations, materials, and equipment.
Physical Demands- Physical demands are based on the ability to perform the following actions throughout an 8–10-hour period of work for a 4–7-day work week.
- Exert oneself physically over long periods of time.
- Bend stretch, twist, or reach out with the body, arms, and other extremities.
- Use one’s abdominal muscles and lower back to lift continuously over time without fatiguing.
