A long-established commercial truck dealership in Hagerstown, MD is hiring a Diesel Technician to diagnose and repair heavy-duty trucks. Ideal candidates bring diesel engine, electrical, hydraulic, and diagnostic experience. Apply today for a sign-on bonus of up to $6,000, paid OEM and ASE training, and primarily Monday–Friday daytime hours.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues on commercial trucks using advanced diagnostic equipment.
Troubleshoot diesel engine malfunctions and perform repairs to restore vehicle performance.
Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety and environmental compliance.
Perform preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and other routine services.
Collaborate with fellow technicians to prioritize repairs and maintain efficient shop workflows.
Maintain accurate work orders documenting repairs, services performed, and parts used.
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines and commercial truck systems.
Strong knowledge of diesel engine systems, electrical components, and diagnostic equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues and identify effective repair solutions.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
Valid driver's license required.
Physical ability to lift heavy components and work in varying shop conditions. Preferred:2+ years of hands-on experience as a Diesel Technician.
Previous diesel dealership experience. #DJ1 Compensation:$25.00 – $40.00/hour, based on experience, certifications, and training
Up to $6,000 sign-on bonus, based on experience, certifications, and training
