As Volvo aims to go beyond Industry 4.0 and integrate AI systems in the production line to improve our operational efficiency, your primary role will be to work directly with various business teams in the North American factories and our global partners to identify pain points and areas for optimization. As the Senior Software Engineer you will design and develop digital products and AI based solutions cross functionally to successfully deliver reliable and secure systems that meet Volvo guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and implement high-quality, scalable, and reusable software components using appropriate programming languages and technologies
• Collaborate with application delivery teams (developers, architects, testers) to ensure software components meet functional and non-functional requirements
• Implement best practices in coding, documentation, and version control to maintain high standards of software quality and reliability
• Manage the lifecycle of software components from inception through deployment and maintenance
• Plan and coordinate component releases, including versioning, dependency management, and compatibility testing
• Monitor and analyze component performance metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimizations as needed
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for software components, including technical specifications, APIs, and usage guidelines

For this position, the base pay is set at $ - $ annually, and where applicable, bonus eligible.
