Overview
The Hagerstown Field House is seeking an experienced and passionate Soccer Clinic Coach to lead dynamic, high-intensity training sessions focused on individual player development and game intelligence. This role is designed for coaches who can elevate older players (U16 and above) through purposeful, technical instruction and a deep understanding of the game.
Essential Coaching Attributes and ConceptsThe Soccer Clinic Coach should have the ability to emphasize advanced-level concepts in the following areas:
Ball Control & Footwork – Technical precision and confidence on the ball
1v1 Attacking and Defending – Creating and denying goal-scoring opportunities
Speed of Play & Decision Making – Reading the game and acting under pressure
Combination Play & Off-the-Ball Movement – Tactical awareness and team synergy
Finishing Under Pressure – Clinical execution in front of goal
Game Strategy & Positional Awareness – Understanding formations, roles, and transitions
Must be at least 21 years old
Strong background in soccer – playing experience beyond high school and/or coaching at the high school level or higher
Minimum of 2 years coaching experience at the U16 level or above (club, high school, college, or adult competitive)
Ability to plan and lead structured, engaging training sessions with clear progression
High energy, professionalism, and a passion for player development
Coaching certifications (USSF, UEFA, NSCAA, etc.)
Experience leading position-specific or technical training clinics
First Aid/CPR certification
Clinics take place indoors at the Hagerstown Field House
Evening and/or weekend availability required
Coaches should be prepared to demonstrate drills and actively engage with players

Classes are normally held indoors in a temperature and humidity-controlled environment. Some classes may be held outdoors in summer weather conditions (except rain/thunderstorm conditions). The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
