Ryder is hiring Permanent Full Time Team Leads in Hagerstown, Maryland. Warehouse positions pay weekly.

Position Details

• Hourly Pay: $23.69 per hour
• Schedules Available:
  First Shift
• Sunday‑Tuesday and every other Wednesday 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
• Thursday‑Saturday and every other Wednesday 7:00 am – 7:00 pm

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• 1+ year powered industrial truck experience preferred
• 1+ year previous experience as Team Lead preferred
• 1+ year Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, etc.) preferred
• 1+ year previous warehouse experience preferred
• Knowledge and/or experience with an RF scanner – advanced required
• Valid forklift operator's license certified
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Effective leadership skills
• Flexible to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
• Performs work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent organizational skills
• Proactively approaches responsibilities
• Maintains composure under pressure
• Uses health and safety methods
• Bilingual (For Québec locations only)

Responsibilities

• Lead and ensure continuous improvement efforts for optimal efficiency of operations.
• Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting.
• Allocate resources and organize daily work duties to team members for optimal shift/team logistics.
• Inspire and guide team members toward improved KPI’s using appropriate leadership styles and methods.
• Assist in providing orientation for employees, giving them necessary information, technology, and tools.
• Promote health and safety working methods within the warehouse.
• Handle day‑to‑day paperwork (picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.).
• Complete and submit daily reports and propose action plans to enhance operations effectiveness and service levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
