Be involved in projects with our Power Delivery Hailey Overhead Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our clients' objectives and solves their challenges.

Takes part in providing technical design and CADD support on projects to produce designs and specifications for planning, transportation, infrastructure, and technical services business lines. Responsibilities involve generating CADD designs on various assigned projects of moderate scale and/or complexity. Generates accurate and concise design phase deliverables including reports, technical memoranda, design manuals, plans and profiles, models, sections, details, specifications, and material lists.

Ensures that responsibilities are delivered and adhered to with a level of quality that meets or exceeds acceptable industry standards for design, accuracy, and functionality.

• Work with underground transmission line engineers and drafters to complete construction drawings for underground transmission lines, including plan and profile drawings, detail drawings, cover sheet, and notes.
• Perform quality assurance checks on construction drawings.
• Collaborate in both in-person meetings and virtual conference calls.
• Organize projects and their subsequent files and documents in Project Wise.
• Gain field experience and coordinate with contractors and clients.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

• High School Diploma.
• Minimum of 7 years of relevant post‑education experience in the discipline with prior drafting and design support experience.
• Strong experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D or Micro Station.
• Experience with drawing creation for Power Delivery (transmission, substation, distribution).
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

• Associate’s degree.
• 3 or more years drafting experience with Micro Station and/or AutoCAD.
• Working knowledge of survey coordinate systems.
• Experience interpreting surveys.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
