General Purpose
The Laundry Warehouse Coordinator plays a key role in maintaining organization, flow, and safety within the production and warehouse environments for a large-scale commercial laundry facility serving the hospitality industry. This position ensures efficient material movement, cleanliness, and optimization of production support areas including shipping, receiving, and metro queue management. The Warehouse Coordinator maintains control of bulk linen supports production teams through organized systems and ensures operational readiness on a shift-by-shift basis.
DutiesAnd Responsibilities
- Shipping & Receiving:
- Receive incoming goods, verify accuracy of deliveries, and record all materials received.
- Coordinate outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Maintain production documents and logs and update inventory systems accordingly.
- Communicate with drivers and internal departments for delivery scheduling.
- Metro Management:
- Maintain and organize clean, soil, and reclaim production metro queues to ensure steady product flow through the facility.
- Identify and remove damaged or unsafe carts and materials.
- Engage in the Metro washing program.
- Packing Room & Production Optimization:
- Organize and optimize the packing room metro layout for efficient loading and order staging.
- Support production and packing teams with timely organization of packaging materials and consumables.
- Assist with daily and weekly cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
- Organization of supplies within production support areas.
- Supplies & Inventory Management:
- Track and manage usage of production supplies such as bags, tags, pallets, and wrapping materials.
- Communicate with the leadership team to replenish stock as needed.
- Assist in waste management and recycling initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and perpetual inventory of production supplies, consumption and waste.
- Organize storage areas for production supplies, ensuring safety.
- Facility Organization & Housekeeping:
- Maintain clean, orderly, and safe working environments throughout the warehouse and production support zone.
- Report on any safety, sanitation, and organizational standards that are not being followed to the leadership team.
- Provide recommendations to management based on findings.
- Work with the leadership team on insight of the productivity performance of the operation using internal metrics and data analysis tools.
- Equipment & Safety:
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move heavy materials safely.
- Perform daily forklift safety checks and report any equipment issues.
- Enforce warehouse safety protocols and participate in safety meetings.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Coordination & Communication:
- Collaborate with production leads and shift supervisors to anticipate and meet material needs.
- Report material shortages, damages, or bottlenecks immediately.
- Other Duties:
- Perform other duties as assigned by management to support production efficiency and organizational effectiveness.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Detailed-oriented
- Certified forklift operator (valid certification required).
- 2+ years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or production support (industrial or commercial laundry preferred).
- Ability to lift, push, and pull over 100 lbs consistently.
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per shift.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse systems, material handling, and basic inventory practices.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy (inventory tracking experience a plus).
