Job Summary
This role is responsible for increasing customer confidence and loyalty by providing courteous and prompt service, maintaining consistent operating conditions, and fostering a friendly atmosphere.
- Compliance – 50%
Observes customers and checks identification for age verification, identifies customers who should not be served additional alcohol, monitors to prevent open containers leaving the store, and denies sale of alcohol or tobacco to underage or intoxicated customers. - Customer Excellence – 25%
Provides continuous attention to customers' needs, greets, assists, and thanks customers in a prompt, courteous, and friendly manner, and offers product suggestions when appropriate. - Operational Excellence – 25%
Stocks and rotates department products for freshness, restocks efficiently, operates department equipment and cashiering equipment accurately, keeps the work area clean and safe, and reports hazards.
Performs other job‑related duties as assigned.
Qualifications- High School / GED (Required)
- Preferred:
High School / GED Diploma - 1–3 years of relevant experience, no supervisory experience required
- At least 21 years of age
- TIPS training required prior to start date
- English required;
Spanish preferred - Authorization to work in the United States
- Successful completion of pre‑employment drug test and background check
- Basic computer skills for online training
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, busy environment
Physical demands include standing, walking, manual dexterity, reaching waist level or overhead, carrying/pushing or lifting loads up to 250 lbs, operating equipment such as registers, scanners, scales, and handling cleaning supplies. Working conditions may involve indoor, outdoor, cold, hot, wet/humid environments. Safety risks include slips, sharp objects, loud noise, and exposure to chemicals.
