General PurposeThis position is responsible for delivering and picking up customer linen in a timely and professional manner within assigned routes utilizing delivery vehicles like box trucks and/or cargo vans.
Duties and Responsibilities- Operate company-assigned box trucks or cargo vans along designated or alternate delivery routes
- Deliver and collect linen carts (metros) on time and obtain signed delivery tickets
- Reconcile delivery and pickup loads to ensure accuracy
- Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues promptly
- Keep delivery vehicle clean, disinfected, and refueled at the end of each shift
- Comply with all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies
- Communicate route updates or customer concerns to the Logistics Manager
- Maintain professional appearance in company-provided uniform and deliver courteous customer service
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Frequent loading/unloading of linen carts
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid CDL Class B license and current DOT medical card
- Minimum 1 year of relevant driving experience
- Clean driving record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate professionally
- Must be highly punctual, deadline-driven, and self-motivated
- Comfortable working independently and making decisions on the road
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Work weekends, holidays, and variable shifts based on business needs
Inside work: protected from weather conditions.
Outside work: no effective protection from weather. Activities occur both inside and outside an office enclosure.
Physical demands include standing, walking, sitting, stooping, crouching, reaching, pulling, and pushing up to 500 lbs. The job requires extended periods of various physical activities and exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, vibration, hazardous materials, and prolonged screen use. Employees may be required to wear hearing protection, respirators, and other personal protective equipment depending on conditions.
