Senior Planner

Elevate land development in Haldimand County as a Senior Planner. Provide expert planning services, advise on policy development, and ensure compliance with Provincial legislation while fostering community engagement and participation.

As a Senior Planner, you will play a key role in analyzing land-use planning and development initiatives. Your professional judgment will guide compliance with municipal policies and fostering public participation in critical planning processes. You'll also lead various projects, handle complex planning submissions, and prepare comprehensive reports for Council consideration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate major development proposals for compliance

• Chair meetings to facilitate public participation

• Prepare Official Plan Amendments and relevant by-laws

• Conduct research and long-range planning studies

• Manage community engagement strategies to inform the public

Requirements:

• University degree in Planning or related field

• Over four years of related planning experience

• Member of Canadian Institute of Planners (C.I.P.)

• Valid Ontario Driver’s license – Class G

• Excellent communication and analytical skills
