Salary: £20,092.30 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 34 hours per week
Rota:
Monday & Tuesday 8:15am – 4:00pm | Wednesday & Thursday 8:15am – 3:30pm | Friday 8:15am – 2:45pm

Contract:
Permanent | Term Time Only

As part of our continued growth, we now have a fantastic opportunity for Teaching Assistants to join our close-knit team at Bramfield House School located in Suffolk.

About the Role

This isn’t just classroom support — it’s life-changing work. You’ll help students build confidence, self-esteem, and the skills they need to thrive. Working alongside dedicated teaching staff, you’ll create a calm, inclusive, and purposeful learning environment. Whether supporting students one-to-one, in small groups, or assisting with classroom prep, your contribution will matter every day.

Your role will involve:

  • Assisting teachers in delivering the curriculum tailored to each pupil’s learning needs.
  • Supporting pupils to develop independence and confidence both academically and socially.
  • Providing specialist SEN or subject-specific support to help pupils reach their potential.
  • Promoting positive behaviour, wellbeing, and engagement in learning.
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues across education and care to provide a consistent, nurturing environment.

This is a rewarding role for someone passionate about helping young people thrive and making a meaningful difference in their school experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support pupils within the classroom and during transitions, breaks, and lunch times.
  • Deliver one-to-one or small group interventions as required.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues regarding pupils’ progress, wellbeing, and needs.

Bramfield House School is an independent special educational needs school for boys aged 7 – 16 years who have social, emotional, mental health, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviours, located in rural Suffolk.
