Emera Inc. is on the lookout for a dedicated Co-op student for their Corporate Accounting & Tax Division. Ideal candidates are 3rd or 4th-year students pursuing degrees in Accounting or Finance. This role will allow you to contribute to significant financial compliance projects, helping you build foundational skills for your accounting career.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct full-cycle accounting, including journal entries

• Prepare and categorize tax reporting intercompany billings

• Support audits of annual expense reports

• Assist with HST filings for various companies

• Prepare submissions for Statistics Canada

Requirements:

• Enrolled in 3rd or 4th-year Accounting or Finance program

• Excellent organization and multitasking abilities

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

• Strong analytical and collaborative mindset

• Accounting or tax experience is a plus
