Natural Forces, a leader in clean energy development, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Halifax head office on an interim basis. This role involves engaging in daily accounting operations, including accounts payable and receivable, while preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with statutory guidelines. Your expertise will support the organization’s commitment to sustainability and employee growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations and end-of-period close processes

• Prepare journal entries and reconciliations according to accounting standards

• Monitor cash flow and develop cash flow forecasts

• Maintain accurate general ledgers and financial transaction reports

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices

• Experience with Sage Intacct and proficiency in Excel

• Excellent analytical and critical thinking abilities

• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
