Cycle Accounting Specialist

Position: Full Cycle Accounting Specialist
Join a vibrant team as an Accounting Specialist in Halifax. Focus on payroll, supplier payments, and invoice processing to enhance our company's financial accuracy.

As an Accounting Specialist, you will report to the Controller and manage the payroll cycle and Accounts Payable duties. We're looking for a self-directed professional who can multitask efficiently in a busy environment, excel in communication, and maintain excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process weekly payroll and prepare remittances

• Handle a large volume of supplier invoices

• Match invoices with purchase orders systematically

• Resolve invoice discrepancies with the Operations team

• Reconcile supplier accounts and maintain accurate records

Requirements:

• College diploma in accounting or related field

• Minimum three years' accounting experience in construction

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification

• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and Jonas Software

• Strong attention to detail and data entry accuracy
