Halifax Accounting Specialist

Position: Halifax Accounting Specialist Role

Reporting to the Controller, you will be responsible for managing the payroll cycle, processing invoices, and addressing supplier inquiries promptly. We seek an organized candidate who thrives under pressure and possesses exceptional communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer weekly payroll and prepare year-end T4s

• Process supplier and overhead invoices according to procedures

• Match purchase orders with invoices for accuracy

• Address and resolve supplier inquiries professionally

• Conduct reconciliations of accounts in the system

Requirements:

• Diploma in accounting or finance related branch

• At least three years of accounting experience in construction

• Must possess a Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certificate

• Familiarity with Jonas Construction Software is preferable

• Highly detail-oriented and organized
