Accounts & Payroll Clerk

Anmar Mechanical and Electrical Contractors Ltd. is currently seeking an Accounting & Payroll Clerk to join our team!

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in an accounting and payroll role, preferably in a medium-sized organization
• Experience processing payroll and understanding payroll legislation and compliance
• Proficiency with accounting and payroll software (e.g., Quick Books, Pivot, or similar ERP systems)
• Experience processing US payroll, including multi-state payroll and compliance, considered a strong asset.
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

• Process bi-weekly/weekly payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable legislation
• Maintain employee payroll records, deductions, benefits, and remittances
• Prepare and submit payroll-related reports, including ROEs, T4s, and union remittances
• Enter and reconcile accounting data including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
• Reconcile bank and credit card statements
• Maintain accurate financial and employee records
• Respond to payroll and accounting inquiries from employees and management
• Support other administrative and accounting duties as required
