Financial Analyst Accountant at IMP Aerospace

Step into an impactful role as a Financial Analyst Accountant at IMP Aerospace & Defence. Based in our Halifax office, you'll dive deep into accounting and operations to elevate financial processes across our manufacturing sites in Hammonds Plains and Amherst.

This role is perfect for an analytical professional with a strong finance background looking to transition into operational accounting. In this position, you will focus on work-in-progress, costing, and variance analysis, helping to drive financial accuracy and operational insights. A hands-on approach with plant teams will enhance your understanding of production finances.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure WIP integrity and month-end reconciliation

• Support month-end close and financial reporting

• Analyze and explain cost variances

• Collaborate with operational teams to improve accuracy

• Reconcile and analyze financial data across systems

Requirements:

• 3–7+ years of experience in a relevant field

• Strong data reconciliation and analytical abilities

• Familiarity with ERP tools like Oracle or SAP

• Excellent skills in Excel for complex data analysis

• Detail-oriented with a desire to learn
