Position: Accounting Manager at Jaza Energy
Take charge as an Accounting Manager with Jaza Energy, focusing on financial operations critical to our mission in Sub-Saharan Africa. This role involves managing accounting cycles, payroll, and compliance for our Canadian entity.

As Accounting Manager, you will oversee all financial operations for Jaza Energy Inc. in Canada, ensuring smooth accounting processes from month-end close to regulatory filings. Your expertise in payroll and tax compliance will bolster the efficiency of our operations, while you also lead intercompany coordination and cash management activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee full-cycle accounting for Jaza Energy Canada

• Manage payroll and related year-end reporting

• Ensure compliance with Canadian corporate tax regulations

• Support cash forecasting and banking operations

• Coordinate monthly intercompany transactions

Requirements:

• 5-7 years of related experience in finance and accounting

• CPA (Canada) or similar qualification preferred

• Proficient in Quick Books Online (QBO)

• In-depth understanding of Canadian corporate tax compliance

• Located in Halifax; must be legally authorized to work in Canada
