We are searching for an Academic Program and Partnership Assistant to join our Human Resources team based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

  • About the Opportunity

  • Maintains student placement tracking and participant trackers of programs (ie. LPN, CCA, PLAR) led by Shannex.
  • Responds to inquiries from students/participants
  • Maintains trusted partnership with universities, colleges & partners
  • Assists with the administration of the student placement software called HSPnet and acts as back up for Academic Program and Partnership Coordinator
  • Assists with administrative functions
  • Maintains accurate records for each participant
  • Provides reports to operational leaders monthly
  • Alerts Academic Program and Partnership Coordinator if students are not processing as expected
  • In collaboration with Academic Program and Partnership Coordinator, follows up with employees who are not on track
  • Provides administrative support for any government initiatives – such as exam challenges, accelerated PLAR
  • About You

    In addition to placing high value on continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability, you bring:

  • High school diploma/GED
  • Administrative Professional diploma
  • 3- 5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Experience with student placement tracking software
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong organization skills, high attention to detail and demonstrated initiative
  • Strong interpersonal skills
