This position serves in the Admitting & Registration department, requiring a High School diploma and clerical experience. You'll engage in activities such as patient registration, data entry, and supply management while maintaining patient care standards. Flexibility is crucial, as shifts cover days, evenings, and weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform patient data entry for registration and transfers
• Manage inventory and order supplies for the unit
• Coordinate transport functions as per policies
• Handle Point Pleasant Lodge reservations efficiently
• Arrange for staffing coverage based on unit needs
Requirements:
• Minimum High School diploma or G.E.D.
• Experience in a similar clerical role preferred
• Proficiency in data entry and keyboarding
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology an asset
Support patient care and administrative excellence as an Admitting Clerk with IWK Health.
