The Opportunity The Ward Clerk reports to the Manager of the NICU and performs reception and clerical duties required for the efficient operation of the unit.
Responsibilities include:
data entry, database management, ordering and maintaining supplies, facilitating required transport functions, and answering phones.
Hours of Work Monday to Friday and weekends, 07:00–19:00 and 19:00–07:00.
Your Qualifications Minimum High School Diploma or GED required.
Completion of a recognized Secretarial or Office Administration Diploma Program preferred.
Accurate keyboarding and data entry skills required.
Basic knowledge of computer programs, including a word processing program, required.
Knowledge of Meditech required.
Demonstrated initiative, excellent organizational skills, and ability to multi‑task required.
Demonstrated team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to work with a wide variety of interdisciplinary team members and families.
Previous experience in a similar role preferred.
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
Competencies in other languages an asset.
