Perinatal Registration Scheduling Clerk

Support Perinatal Centre registration and scheduling at IWK Health in Halifax, using accurate data entry and respectful patient communication.

As a Registration/Scheduling Clerk, you will process registrations, bookings, and schedules within Women’s & Newborn Health. The temporary full-time assignment runs Monday to Friday, with daytime and evening hours totaling 70 hours bi-weekly. You will communicate collaboratively with patients, families, and colleagues while supporting Family-Centred Care.

• Register patients and process Perinatal Centre bookings
• Schedule appointments and print schedules accurately
• Verify patient information and complete billing sheets
• Communicate by telephone, fax, mail, and messages
• Retrieve health records charts and file information

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required
• Six months related experience preferred
• Medical office administration diploma preferred
• Accurate keyboarding, data entry, and Microsoft Office skills
• Strong organization, judgment, discretion, and communication skills
