Perinatal Centre Registration Clerk

Support patient registration and scheduling at IWK Health’s Perinatal Centre in Halifax, using accurate data entry and respectful communication.

This temporary full-time clerk assignment supports Women’s & Newborn Health from registration through appointment booking. You will work Monday to Friday across various daytime and evening hours, managing patient information, schedules, records, and communications. Family-Centred Care guides interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.

• Register patients and process Perinatal Centre bookings
• Schedule appointments and print daily schedules
• Verify patient information and retrieve health records
• Communicate by telephone and fax information accurately
• Complete billing sheets, filing, and mail handling

• High school diploma or General Educational Development certificate
• Accurate keyboarding and data entry skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer technology
• Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills
• Confidential judgment and effective interpersonal communication
