Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Automotive Technician role located in Halifax, NS. The Automotive Technician will perform routine vehicle maintenance, including inspections, oil changes, and fluid checks, while diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues. Daily tasks include working on suspension components, conducting general maintenance and repair work, and ensuring all services meet safety standards and manufacturer guidelines. The technician will use diagnostic tools and equipment, maintain accurate service records, and communicate clearly with service advisors and customers about findings and recommendations.

The role also involves keeping the workspace organized, adhering to health and safety procedures, and contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications
  • Candidates should possess strong skills in Vehicle Maintenance and Routine Maintenance & Repair.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Oil Changes and related fluid services.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Automotive Repair, including mechanical diagnostics and component replacement.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Suspension inspection, repair, and alignment-related work.
  • Completion of an automotive technician program or apprenticeship, or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Knowledge of diagnostic tools, service manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift moderate weights, stand for extended periods, and follow safety protocols.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and clear communication abilities.
  • Previous experience in a professional auto shop environment is an asset.
