Safety Coordinator

Position: Safety Coordinator Role
Lead safety initiatives at Ironclad Developments as a Site Safety Coordinator in Halifax. You will ensure all construction activities follow safety regulations and standards.

Ironclad Developments is seeking a Site Safety Coordinator for our Halifax site. This critical role involves implementing safety programs, monitoring compliance, and providing training to site personnel. You will work closely with both the Site Superintendent and provincial safety authorities, ensuring a proactive approach to safety management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce compliance with safety regulations across the site

• Lead site orientations and deliver ongoing safety training

• Document and investigate incidents and near misses

• Maintain comprehensive safety records and compliance documentation

• Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments

Requirements:

• 3 years’ experience in a safety-focused role

• In-depth knowledge of safety regulations in construction

• Proven skills in training and mentoring on safety practices

• Strong communication and organizational skills

• Valid Canadian driver’s licence
