Health and Safety Coordinator

Enforce safety standards as a Health and Safety Coordinator with Prodigy in Halifax, Nova Scotia. You'll promote a proactive culture while ensuring compliance with provincial regulations.

This 5-month fixed-term contract role involves close collaboration with project managers, subcontractors, and regulatory personnel. You will conduct safety inspections, enforce Prodigy’s Occupational Health and Safety Program, and assist in developing safety procedures. Your expertise will play a crucial role in maintaining site safety standards and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform project site safety inspections and report hazards

• Conduct site orientations for workers and visitors

• Maintain safety equipment and signage on site

• Gather safety documentation from subcontractors

• Facilitate accident investigations with recommendations

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations

• Valid driver's license for site visits

• Ability to work independently and in teams

• Proficient with Word, Excel, and safety software

• Willingness to adapt to changing circumstances
