Health and Safety Coordinator Prodigy

Prodigy is hiring a Health and Safety Coordinator for a 5-month contract in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Engage in safety inspections, compliance, and safety training while improving health protocols.

The selected coordinator will collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and regulatory inspectors to enforce safety standards on-site. This role demands knowledge of occupational health and safety laws and the construction industry. Your contributions will support compliance, safety documentation, and ongoing enhancements of the company's safety management systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce Prodigy’s Occupational Health and Safety Program

• Conduct site orientations for workers and subcontractors

• Assist with safety equipment setup and maintenance

• Perform project site safety inspections and report findings

• Support incident investigations and corrective action recommendations

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations

• Valid driver’s license for onsite mobility

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• Proficient in Word, Excel, and safety software

• Ability to work unsupervised in construction environments
