As a Surveying Technician on Pomerleau's Civil Engineering & Infrastructure team, you'll work closely with all workers to ensure coordination of the work. Working on large-scale construction projects - ranging from $1.5 million to more than $1 billion - you'll have the opportunity to accompany and support the team member and participate in the completion of work according to specifications.

What You Will Do

Land surveying:
Use surveying instruments to measure and record topographic data.

Set up points and benchmarks:
Place benchmarks on site to guide construction work (underground services, curbs, sidewalks, paving, etc.).

Communicate information:
Ensure that all project participants have the information they need to make progress.

Monitoring and control:
Supervise and inspect work to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.

Work as part of a team, maintain a pleasant and trusting working environment, communicate effectively with colleagues and other trades on site.

Perform all other related tasks associated with operations.

This Role Is Made For You If You Have

DEP, AEC or Certificate in surveying or civil engineering.

1 to 2 years' experience on a civil construction site.

An ASP Construction & WHMIS 2015 card.

Valid Class 5 driver's license.

Proficiency in surveying tools (robotized total station, GPS).
