- Write, edit, assemble, and publish digital content clearly and concisely for a regional and national audience
- Organize and update the web pages for Radio-Canada Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador
- Support radio teams in promoting their content on digital platforms
- Gather information from various sources and report on it
- Rewriting texts as needed
- Ensure all texts respect standard grammar rules and style
- Write headlines for social media
- Select photos and audio/video clips for reports
- Critically review content and items produced by others
- University degree or equivalent
- Five (5) years of experience directly related to the position
- Extensive and demonstrable knowledge of regional, national, and international issues
- Ability to write a wide range of material related to news and current affairs
- Confirmed experience and aptitude in writing/editing following best practices and style for digital platforms
- Availability to work shifts
- Sound judgment in evaluating information and ability to work effectively under pressure 24/7 in a newsroom with tight deadlines
- Ability to determine the news value for online audiences
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent team spirit
- Advance level proficiency in speaking, writing, and reading English (CCC)
Demonstrates extensive knowledge of regional, national, and international issues while effectively writing and editing digital content for diverse audiences. Proficient in evaluating news value and producing high-quality material under tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
