This position is 30-35 hours per week, rotating days, evenings, and weekends.

The Front Desk Clerk is a highly visible, student-focused role that supports customer service, student engagement, residence processes, marketing initiatives, and campus safety at the Ridgetown Campus. This position blends administrative expertise, social media skills, student support responsibilities, and front-line access control for the residence building to help create a welcoming, safe, and well-organized campus experience.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Customer Service & Front Desk Operations:
    Serve as the first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors, process key requests, guest sign in, mail, and financial transactions.
  • Marketing & Communications:
    Create and manage social media content, design promotional materials, and oversee residence publications.
  • Student Support & Information Referrals:
    Provide accurate campus information, connect students with appropriate resources, and support engagement initiatives.
  • Residence Admissions & Housing Management:
    Oversee Star Rez applications, room assignments, special accommodations, and liaise with students and departments.
  • Campus Safety Dispatch & Crisis Response:
    Manage emergency and non-emergency calls, dispatch resources, document incidents, and control building access.
Requirements
  • One-year college diploma in a relevant field preferred and one year of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong crisis management, organization, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Star Rez, Adobe, Canva, and social media platforms.
  • Ability to work independently, multitask, and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • First Aid, CPR, and AED certification.
  • Experience in residence admissions, housing, or student affairs.
  • Knowledge of access control systems, emergency response, and dispatch operations.
