CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE (MOTIVATOR)

The Motivator role is critical to the success of our Good Life Fitness Clubs. A Motivator is typically the first associate a Member or Potential Member interacts with upon arrival to the Club. The Motivator is responsible for creating a welcoming, clean and safe environment to help Members achieve their fitness goals. The role involves being a front‑desk expert and is pivotal in assisting and supporting Members and Potential Members, ensuring their experience with us is always positive and engaging.

• Be pleasant and present with every greeting and interaction.
• Greet Members as they arrive and check them in for their workout.
• Greet Potential Members with appointments or walk‑ins and direct them appropriately.
• Handle incoming calls efficiently – answer within three rings, take messages, book appointments.
• Assist Members on the floor with questions about the Fit Fix and Cardio machines.
• Possess in‑depth knowledge of Memberships, Club services and amenities, and sell these products when opportunities arise.
• Use all systems to efficiently answer Member questions, resolve issues, update Member information, and sell memberships, services, products and amenities.
• Handle comments, suggestions and concerns courteously and professionally.
• Provide Fit‑Fix Starter sessions for new and current Members.
• Complete Club runs and cleaning tasks to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Complete any other tasks required to provide an exceptional experience for Members and guests.
• Complete required Learning and attend all monthly meetings.

• CPR‑A and AED certification.
• Must be Smart Tan certified within 3 months of employment.
• Interpersonal Savvy – relates well to all kinds of people, builds appropriate rapport, uses diplomacy and tact, and can diffuse high‑tension situations comfortably.
• Customer Focus – dedicated to meeting expectations of internal and external customers, uses customer information for improvement, and establishes trustworthy relationships.
• Team Contribution – helpful to the team, volunteers to help others succeed, and models sharing, caring and cooperation.
• Approachability – easy to talk to, warm, pleasant, gracious, patient with interpersonal anxieties, good listener.
• Knowledge of the fitness industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Superior customer service skills and ability to embrace company culture.
• Proficiency in use of computers.
• Previous customer service and sales experience an asset.

• Base wage of $17.50 per hour.
• Eligible for commissions in addition to the base wage.
• Expected annual range of total compensation $11,300 to $12,900 based on scheduled hours, performance and variable compensation earned.
