CAD/CAM Dental Design Technician

We’re partnering with a well-established private dental laboratory in Nova Scotia that is investing heavily in advanced digital dentistry. We are seeking an experienced CAD/CAM Dental Design Technician with digital workflows. The role is ideal for someone passionate about premium‑quality implant design using the highest level implant brands, restorations and thriving in a fast‑paced production environment with high clinical expectations.
Location:
Halifax, Nova Scotia (Relocation Support Available)
What You’ll Do
Design full‑arch implant restorations using 3
Shape, including advanced full‑arch cases.
Use Blender for Dental to split designs, including bar and shell workflows.
Execute precise smile design for high‑aesthetic anterior cases.
Collaborate directly with prosthodontists and doctors on treatment planning, workflow optimization, and troubleshooting.
Produce and finish cases to a premium standard, including ceramics, anterior esthetics, and full‑arch zirconia implant bridges.
Apply advanced implant knowledge, including case strategy and complication resolution.
Work with custom abutment milling, both in‑house and via outsourcing partners such as Straumann, Atlantis, and Nobel.
Support a mostly digital workflow and contribute to continuous process improvement and team skill development.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 5 years of experience in CAD/CAM systems within a dental lab.
Advanced proficiency in 3
Shape and familiarity with Blender for Dental.
Strong understanding of full‑arch occlusion and high clinical accuracy standards.
Ability to speak confidently with doctors using appropriate technical and clinical terminology.
Experience in ceramics and high‑esthetic finishing, including anterior esthetics.
Expertise in implant systems, digital workflows, troubleshooting, and custom abutments.
A collaborative mindset with a commitment to innovation, precision, and efficiency.
