Qualifications Diploma or degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited institution.
Current registration and licensure to practice as a Dental Hygienist in Canada.
Proficiency in periodontal charting and dental radiography.
Knowledge of sterilization standards and infection control protocols.
Ability to work independently and manage patient care efficiently.
Strong communication skills for patient education and team collaboration.
Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive periodontal charting to evaluate gum health and identify potential issues.
Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
Take and process dental X-rays to assist in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Maintain strict sterilization and infection control procedures to ensure patient and staff safety.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies.
Work independently to manage patient appointments and maintain accurate clinical records.
Collaborate with dentists and other team members to provide integrated dental care.
About the Role As a part of the Dental Hygiene team, you will play a critical role in promoting and maintaining oral health for patients through preventive dental care and education. Your primary objective will be to assess patients' periodontal health, perform thorough cleanings, and assist in the early detection of oral diseases. You will work closely with dentists and other dental professionals to develop personalized care plans that enhance patient outcomes.
