Position: Design Assistant for Kids at Roots
Join Roots as a Design Assistant focusing on Kids, Toddler, and Baby apparel. Bring creative ideas to life and collaborate with teams to ensure quality and accuracy in production.

This position at Roots involves both creative and technical support within the Design team, reporting to the Design Director. You will engage in market research, contribute to seasonal children's collections, and maintain accurate Product Development Bills of Materials. Strong communication and team collaboration are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct ongoing market and trend research for seasonal direction

• Support original design work for children's collections

• Build and maintain accurate Product Development Bills of Materials

• Participate in colour development process including lab dips

• Input and update product information in PDM systems

Requirements:

• Diploma or higher in Fashion Design or related field

• 1–2 years of experience in fashion or design roles

• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Microsoft Office

• Experience with web PDM systems is a plus

• Strong communication and presentation skills
