Empower newcomers as a Facilitator for Intercultural Competence Training with YMCA in Nova Scotia. This essential role focuses on building inclusive knowledge and skills across diverse communities.
You'll organize and execute impactful training sessions across the province, guiding participants through in-depth intercultural understanding. Collaborating with the Immigrant Services team, you will refine materials and adapt delivery techniques to ensure effective outreach and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver intercultural competency training throughout the province
• Review and improve training processes and materials
• Adapt curriculum for various settings, both online and in-person
• Maintain expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion topics
• Collect feedback and manage training evaluation processes
Requirements:
• Experience in intercultural communication or adult education
• Strong skills in facilitation and training design
• Ability to multitask and work independently
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License with travel capability
